Swimming Information

The National  Curriculum states that schools must provide swimming instruction either in Key Stage 1 or 2.
Pupils should be taught to:
- Perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations
- Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
- Use a range of strokes effectively 

80% of the Year 6 cohort are able to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of 25 metres.
80% of the Year 6 cohort can use a range of strokes effectively.
80% of the Year 6 cohort can perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.

Swimming takes place at Great Bentley Country Club, this is an indoor pool.
